Poem :"Time To Move On"
"Time to Move On"
By: Richard A. Wellington November 19th, 1989 Just rose up from hell with my heart on fire And I've got this strange…this strange desire I have been bruised, but I’m not broken They say I am arrogant, I say I’m outrageously outspoken I've been in love before and mistakes I have made And I've kept things bottled up, lock away in my mind I have cheated and I've lied, and I've disappointed only myself Left a good woman’s love laying stagnant on a shelf But it’s time to move on, it’s time to change Time to turn around, time to stand my ground There’s no time for anger, there’s no time to trip My pavement may be wet but I’ll be careful not to slip Much too much has been said and nothing has been done When they get serious, that’s when I’ll have my fun So it time to move on, it’s time to change Time to turn around; it’s time to stand my ground. |
