Mystery loves company
Hi, my name is Nina, and I need help from SOMEONE out there who can connect the dots.
I have been sick for the last three months, ongoing nausea, mild inflammation of terminal ileus, diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus, just as a newly found bonus at recent Endoscopy. I have had 2 CT scans, with contrast, abdominal ultrasound, gallbladder test, x-rays, recent colonoscopy, all kinds of blood test, all negative. At both colonoscopy and endoscopy spasm were noted, while under anesthesia. I have been put on a Gastroparesis diet, bland everything, no fresh fruits/vegetables, limited meat consumption, no beef, pork, etc, I have had NO actual diagnosis to my symptoms. Was put on Omeprazole, and Hyocyamine, to stop the spasms in both colon and stomach, so that I may eat, only to realize that this medicine can cause constipation. Here is the kicker - I had my dental cleaning appointment today, and lo and behold, my dentist was VERY UNHAPPY about my deterioration in both gums and teeth. He took an xray and informed me that I have 3 active infections, 3 different locations, all in teeth that had root canals done a few years ago. Let me tell you I was floored! All of my blood test had come back negative for infection, inflammation, or anything else. No one could find anything!!! Here comes my dentist and tata! So now I have to go and see a Endodontist next Tuesday, to find out what needs to be done. By the way, I have about 8 crowns in my mouth, if not more, and most likely all but one or two have had root canals done. I checked the organ/teeth chart, and the teeth which are affected coincide with my symptoms in my stomach, and colon! Again, WHY could NO ONE find a relevance beside my dentist? I forwarded my dental findings to my Gastroeterologist to keep him informed, but I am CERTAIN that my teeth and root canal infections are the cause of my illness. What are my options? Most likely have all my teeth with rootcanals removed - of what I have read my options are extremely limited. Any suggestions out there for me, please?? |
