biofeedback/neurotherapy expereience anyone?

Hello,

My pc dr wants me to try a neurotherapy clinic that specializes in treating brain disorders with biofeedback, neurotherapy type stuff. (seizes, autism, add, adhd, movement disorders, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, pain disorders etc). Similar to the brain clinic in new York.
Has anybody tried anything like this? Was it helpful? It is mostly covered by medical but I will have to pay a bit out of pocket.

good for me

Yes I've been doing it. It was qEEG based. I had a brain map done which was very abnormal and then did neuro feedback. I've done nearly thirty session with emphasis on mood and pain centers. I've also had HBOT overlapping but I'm pretty confident I can say I've had a *huge* positive change in mood due to the neurofeedback. It's hard to tell as much with pain but overall I'd say both helped. Next we will work on my balance centers since I have major problems with this.

No, insurance didn't cover it and it was expensive but it's so worth it to wake up in the morning and feel such peace. I had forgotten what "unmiserable" felt like. Even when I'm worse physically, my mental attitude keep things much more positive and I'm happier. I've probably had more subtle positive physical changes that will become more apparent over time.

So, yes, I've had a very positive experience with it but make sure it's qEEG based IMO.

I was hoping it would help wih my pain though .
