I need some insight...please

Hi, I am glad I found this site...

I need some help/advice/insight

I am a 51 year old woman who has had an issue with with mu upper tooth on the left aide. The tooth three away from my wisdom tooth. Years ago I had a filling in that tooth. The filling fell out about a year ago and the tooth has now turned brown.... but I believe that tooth has caused me severe sinus I infection on that side. The tooth does not hurt anymore....
I have had neck pain and head aches for awhile
Fast forward to now, I recently hit my head and went in for a CT scan...the results came back that I have " chronic sphenoid and maxillary sinusitis"

Thr nurse practitioner that I see has referred me to an ENT whom I see first thing in the morning ..she believes that the tooth has caused my sinuses to become inflamed. I am taking Cipro and Steroids..I will also go have the tooth pulled tomorrow..

Any suggestions or advice on what to expext...I am terrified this will cause me to have to postpone a trip I have planned for next week

Thank you so very much

Hi tnfilmgirl,

I'm sorry I did not get to reply sooner.

How did the extraction go? Did the oral surgeon mention that you had a sinus perforation or communication into the sinus from this tooth and/or the infection?

Bryanna
