Ltd interfering with ssdi
 

I want to know if AN LTD IC can interfere with your SSDI benefit- I was awarded first time due to my condition and I seems to be getting more hassles from LTD than anywhere at this point

I get little support from the folks at LTD and they are now advocating for me in any any manner infact the ic adjuster is quite rude, always make a point to tell me I am being recorded and never answers any questions regarding my plan.

They are planning to send me to their docs so just like comp their IME will be in their pockets and the BS and games continue.

The LTD company has zero incentive to interfere with your SSDI benefits, unless you have a very unusual contract, SSDI offsets your LTD payment.

You have already been approved for SSDI, correct?

The bigger issue is that if you have had not yet been approved for SSDI or are due for a SSDI CDR, an IME report could potentially impact your credibility with SS.

It makes no sense to be bullied out of these type of benefits. Hire an attorney if need be.

This is what I am concerned about - Yes I receive ssdi - yes ssa collects medical and determines if you continue or not but they dont harass the opinion of your treating docs to my knowledge. On the other hand the LTD company blasts the docs office with forms and medical notes several times a year and this may casue the doc to give in and be less willing to support you if all they do is constantly fill out paperwork

My understanding is that they'll eventually ease up. How much are you considering giving up a month? If it's a few hundred bucks I wouldn't think they'd hassle you. If it's significant, then use it to pay an attorney.

You doctor's office might be annoyed but they shouldn't take it out on you. WC drives my doc nuts, but he knows it's not my fault and keeps battling for me.
