Question about blood pumping sensation and blood pressure

So occasionally I get an exaggerated feeling of my heart pumping in my body and can feel very well the blood pumping though my neck and head. It is like my heart is working extra hard to pump blood up towards my head. It is a strange feeling. It was more common and more intense earlier on in my recovery, but I still get it.

I don't think it has anything to do with anxiety, because it can occur when I am perfectly calm and relaxed and laying down. I do notice that it happens more often when I get tired.

Can anyone explain to me what this is and why I feel it? Is this bad for my heart?

Also, my blood pressure was all over the place earlier on in my recovery, but now that it has evened out, it is lower than before my injury. It is around 94/69 or lower.

Could low blood pressure be causing some of my problems? Should I do something about this?

Thank you

For the "pumping feeling" in head and neck, do you have tight or spasmed neck muscles , do you even notice a whooshing sound like in or near your ears?

I had the whooshing & some pumping feelings - it was due to tight & spasmed neck muscles compressing on the arteries. the medical term for the whooshing sound is bruit.

How much lower? 94/69 is in my opinion already low enough but that depends on a number of factors e.g. Was the reading done by a doctor or are you taking it yourself? Sitting or standing. If you're very underweight you may have it low as well. If your bp is lower than that often it could be making you feel dizzy and cold and tired.

Thanks for your replies.

No, I don't get the whooshing sound in my ears, just ringing. And yes, I do have the tight neck and muscle spasms. My chiro. is working on them, but I guess it takes time for those to heal? I also get neck massages.

My BP reading have always been at the doctor sitting down, I don't take them myself. I've seen them dip in the low 80s for the top number and the low 60s for the bottom number. My doctor does not seemed to be concerned or maybe not even notice.

Thanks.
