Confused about supplements please help :)

Alright so I know this question has been asked a lot but I am still confused.

First of all, my concussion was 4 months ago and I just found this website a week ago. I started reading posts and heard of fish oil and its benefits for the brain. (Wish I had known about that sooner but oh well :p )

So I decided to start taking it but I am confused how many pills I should take daily. I am aiming at 3g of DHA and EPA a day (is that a good idea or should I be taking more than that since my concussion was 4 months ago??)

Now the back of my bottle says this:

Fish oil concentrate: 2000g
Total omega 3 fatty acids: 600mg
Omega 3 EPA and DHA: 500 mg
Omega 3 other: 100 mg

How many pills should I take daily to reach a total of 3g?? I was thinking 6? Is that right?? Please I need help i am really confused

Also I heard that vitamin b is a good idea as well. Should I start taking that??

sorry for all these questions an thanks for your help

Read the Vitamins sticky at the top. It has the whole list.

If you took 3 or 4 Omega 3 pills a day, that should be fine. But, you might find your stomach does not like that much so let your gut be your guide. None of these supplements will cause a quick healing. It will take weeks to see an improvement.

You also need B-12 ..... 1000 to 2500 mcgs of methylcobalamin B-12
A B-50 complex to get the rest of the B's
D-3

Thank you for your reply :)

I know that it's going to take a couple of weeks to see some improvements and even more time to fully heal.
I am glad that my symptoms are not as bad as other people described. I just have some dizziness and a mild headache from time to time.

I will start taking vitamin b and d3 as soon as possible and hope that it will help my brain heal quickly.

When I say a specific Vitamin B, it is not casually. There is a reason for each Vitamin. Some have thought they can take the recommendations generally but that is not going to be as much help as often is expected.

Get regular strength fish oil that shows epa, dha and triglycerides totaling 1000mg each pill. It works better. Take 3-6 a day.
