Lyrica Dosage

My doctor today said I should increase the Lyrcia to 100 mg three times a day. Has anyone went this high? I haven't had any noticeable side effects so far from the Lyrica (granted it has only been two weeks at 50 mg three times a day. I told him my pain and shooting pain seems to be better during the day but at night it is excruciating. He said to take 100 mg three times a day and 600 mg of gabapentin before bed. I don't feel like it is doing anything.

Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks

I haven't taken Lyrica, but from what I've read, 300 mg/day is common for neuropathic pain, and max dosage is 600 mg/day. Reportedly, side effects can increase significantly above 300 mg/day.

The other thing you do have to consider is that Gabapentin is very similar to lyrica, so the additional Gabapentin at night is really giving you an extra dose of a similar medication.

I take 50mg morning and night and my doctor advised I can just keep upping it to 300mg a day, but at the moment the dose I am on is managing the burning nerve pain so I am staying on the 100 a day until I need to up it. They only side effective I have noticed is being a bit 'high' which is better than feeling miserable with the illness 😉
