Medications to Avoid - looking for a specific PDF
I know this has been discussed before, but I am looking for a very specific PDF document that I usually use. I gave my last copy to a new doctor and now I can't find the document to print it again. It had either an orange or blue logo, maybe saying "MGA". It was a spreadsheet of medications to avoid or that are cautionary in myasthenics. It numbers them 1-5 as to how dangerous it is to use them if you have myasthenia gravis. It also breaks them down into categories like antibiotics, etc. It also had comments in one column like "safe as topicals" for bacitracin/etc.
I know I saved a copy to my computer, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've done all the digging online that I can do and can't seem to find this exact document. Can anyone help? Thanks everyone! |
This one looks useful.... but doesn't match your criteria.

If I do find the other one, I'll post a link to it here so others can find it. |

Thanks again to everyone who helped look for it! *attch removed* |
I found the link you are searching for on another MG thread here:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread197634.html It appears to me that the link is no longer active. This happens often online. I've searched lists for our Peripheral Neuropathy forum and often those disappear too. I think it has to do with "going out of date" as new information surfaces, or the original source withdraws the site. |
I removed the end portions on the broken link to get to the main site and found this - it may be the one...
[MEDICATIONS Some medications improve neuromuscular transmission and increase muscle strength. Some medications suppress the production of abnormal antibodies. These medications must be used with careful medical follow-up because they may have major side effects. OFFICIAL LIST OF MEDICATIONS TO USE WITH CAUTION WHEN LIVING WITH MG. PDF- MGA Medication List 10-31-13 - this one loads for me as PDF.. It has a key listing # and separate sections.. ( http://nebula.wsimg.com/66b88369038a...&alloworigin=1 )] found on this page- http://www.mgakc.org/treatment-optio...dications.html I added this info to the sticky thread also. |
