SCS for neck help
I had the trial implant put in yesterday. When I went in that morning I had a severe migraine and neck pain. When they were testing it, I could feel it under my arms, in the bottom of my feet- not once in my neck and shoulders?? The Medrontic rep turned it way down; he said he did not want me to feel the buzz but it was still stimulating my spine?? I had the trial for the lumbar ( did not like it) and that was not how we used it.
When I woke up this morning, the pressure at the base of my skull and neck was excruciating.I could not look up or down without feeling like I was going to pass out from the pressure. I called and the rep said he would reprogram. Is not the whole purpose the buzz feeling where the pain is? |
HOLY SMOKES!
I just posted my own thread in this section requesting info from members like you! These are the things i am seeking to know about and I am very sorry to hear of this. I see it was your first post and wonder how you feel now since posting that ? Feel free to PM me with anything you would like to say - either in open forum or not? :) Best wishes and hope you feel better! |
Hi Nelson
Yeah, the intention of the stim is to provide help where you are experiencing the debilitating pain. My stim was implant in the thoracic spine to help my lumbar and legs. That target is precisely achieved.
The question which comes to me is whether they missed the target in your trial?? If they can't do better, what is it they are trying to sell to you? The reason I ask is that just maybe the stim leads are placed incorrectly. On another point, my stim gives its effect through a buzz. Nevro is the only product I know which gets effect without buzz. The European posters like that when it is on target. I truly hope for you they can get this thing to do its trick. All the best, M56  |
