Did the chiro harm my vertebral artery ?

I had undergone chiropractic neck treatment 2 months ago. The chiropractor used to twist and pop my neck 3 times in a week for 4 weeks. In the last week of the treatment, he twisted my neck forcefully to hear the pops. Since then, I have pain in my neck muscles on one side. It's a sharp pain that is always present sometimes less sometimes more and gets aggravated with wrong sleeping positions .

I however am not sure if the pain is because of the chiropractic treatment because I started yoga during that time and suspect pulled muscle in my neck. I am confused . I also feel the pain radiating in the back of my head and forehead sometimes. Can the muscle pain radiate in the back of the head? I am scared the chiro has harmed my vertebral artery and scared of making things worse. I don't have any dizziness though just constant stabbing pain in my neck muscle that increases and decreases with certain sleeping positions. I am taking painkillers currently and it helped somewhat. My GP wont take me seriously because he thinks i am overly anxious. I haven't gone to him yet but I know how his response would be. What should I do about this problem ? Any suggestions?

If you had damaged your vertebral artery, you would be having extreme symptoms such as would be seen in a stroke.

The twist and pop or yoga may have strained a ligament or such. I have been telling people to avoid the twist and pop chiro. It is often too aggressive. You should take it easy on your neck and see if it heals.

There's good chiros and not so good ,:( ( just like drs, mechanics etc) , might be wise to seek out one with more gentle techniques.. after things settle down..
