VTOS, Venogram AND Ivus?

Hey everyone,

For those of you with VTOS, I was wondering if you had a venogram and IVUS for diagnosis. I've read some posts about the venogram, but haven't found anything regarding the IVUS. I'm nervous about both and wanted to know if it was necessary (although I feel crazy for feeling that way when I read about your surgery experiences - you're all so brave). If you had them done in the Los Angeles area, I would also love to hear thoughts regarding your doctor. Thanks.

I had Venogram done. It was pretty invasive and you are awake; however, they will sedate you and I did not feel pain at all. The result was positive for VTOS. My Subclavian/Jugular vein is blocked and colletaral were seen via venogram.

Hey what is your plan of treatment? I'm in the same boat you are. Both my subclavian and jugular are blocked. I have so many symptoms in my head. Head pressure, headache, blurred vision. But doctors around me seem to think it doesn't matter if these veins get blocked. It's like they think these veins are only there for decoration or something.

Thank you for the post! Did you end up having surgery?
