‘Parkinson’s-fighting drugs can make you more selfish’ – study
|
Very interesting study, but keep in mind the subjects tested did NOT have Parkinson's Disease. They were healthy volunteers.
With Levadopa, we need to dopamine to replace what is missing. This allows our functioning to return to a normal state. If you give excess levadopa to a normal subject, it will induce Schizophrenia. Read the original report in Cell [Excellent peer reviewed Journal]. After reading the report in Cell, it is interesting to read the article in Wired Magazine. Wired emphasized healthy volunteers. There are another dozen or so publications that cite Wired Magazine as the source, but imply Parkinson's Patients show these traits. So in a day or two we should see a UK newspaper with naked ladies on page 3 with even more interesting click bait.
