Can xanax/benzoids help with head pressure?

I usually take 2 (.5mg) Xanax before bed to help sleep prescribed by my physician. One main symptom of mine is pressure buildup in my head. If it increases to levels where I can't take it, I take a Xanax and within the hour the pressure is relieved by at least 50%. Does anyone take Xanax for post concussion besides for anxiety and do you know, if it does, in fact, help relieve the pressure?
I see my Doc next week and she wants to take me off the Xanax but it is the only thing that helps with pressure which consequently helps get me thru the activities of the day and also with getting to sleep.

I've never heard of Xanax being used to relieve head pressure. Have you tried a beta blocker like propranolol ? It is much safer than Xanax.

I get head pressure as well. It never occurred to me that there was a possible treatment for this... thx for posting!! I'll watch this closely:)

I've taken Xanax for PCS symptoms and would caution everyone to be very careful with it.
Initially it was like a miracle drug for me after a bad relapse, but then in the end when I stopped taking it only after 3 weeks it all went to hell very badly.

If you think your symptoms are bad before taking Xanax trust me, it is way worse when you stop taking it.
