:Wave-Hello: Labyrinth,
Most people find gabapentin relaxing or even sedating, so I'd say no, your reaction is not common, and you should definitely call your doctor. I am glad it controlled the seizure activity, or appeared to. It is clear though that it causes some other issue. It is hard to predict whether Lyrica will cause the same reaction, even if it is a very similar medication. It may. It might be worth trying but your doctor will have to decide if that is safe for you. Welcome, and good luck! :) |

Call the doctor. He or she needs to know. It is not an expected reaction to have insomnia with Gabapentin. M |

Let us know what the doc says.
I was on gabapentin for a few years for fibromyalgia. Got to were I didn't or don't need it. So have come off for now. But it wasn't the reason for insomnia for me. Donna :grouphug::hug: |
