Medical Marijuana
Interesting stat from Patients Like Me. 96% of MM users would recommend it to a friend. There are several posters who chimed in that the efficacy of MM reversed their negative opinion. I wish it was easier to obtain and more affordable.

I've never been a fan of the effects of marijuana. I seem to get a heightened awareness of my pain so I don't bother with it. But I have heard good things about topicals. And also was give. A sample of some from a massage therapist but it contained lavender which I am terribly allergic to so I didn't get to try it. I do not have a negative opinion of marijuana. I am glad it's legal and wish alcohol laws would have been tightened. Now that we have hard liquor in our grocery stores it's easy for the kids around here to get. They just steal it. Before it was harder cause you couldn't go I to a liquor store alone as a minor to steal the bottles. Anywho marijuana taken internally or smoked has never done much for me. But each to his own. |
Jenni,
What I have read from users is that there are two strains which help with pain and do not create a high. You need to find someone locally who can advise you. Also keep in mind MM is different from the street items. I would not smoke it, because I was worried it could be laced with another drug, but I know I got a buzz from the second hand smoke at parties. Mostly it made me want to crawl into bed with a chocolate cake. Have you tried DMSO, a topical? I was particularly impressed by a patient who said he was a believer when MM got his MS relative out of a wheelchair and back to a normal life. My goal this week is to find a MM doctor, get approved and purchase the indica strain which is supposed to be good for pain. |
MM will be available for medical use in our state in Jan. my PT and I have looked into it and CBD oil non THC is the best one to try. It helps with neuropathic pain and epilepsy, so its a win win for me. Some say it doesn't help there pain and it makes it worse, but that is why im trying it without the THC, plus THC would most likely increase my seizures not reduce them. We will continue to do more research on what is best to use, but she feels this is really going to help improve her CRPS patients and many more.

I did ask our local store about looking into where I can buy topicals. They are incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Maybe that's something I shoild pop back in there and ask about. About dmso my husbands family used to use that for everything. I just don't know where to get it. I think I can get it for my horse lol but I am not sure I would use that on myself. Can you tell me more about where to find dmso and how to use it? Thanks! |

Lol I have to admit that it's kinda weird going into a store with shelves and shelves of weed and not being afraid of the cops busting in :) I just have never been a fan of the effects of marijuana. |
