I been on ssdi since 1997. I have been baker acted numerous times. I won't go on how bad involuntary commitment is, I just want to know if that"s on my police record and will ssa find out?

You might need to disclose it in a CDR, it would depend on the timing.

Were the holds for only 72 hours? Or were you ever convicted of a crime and then had to serve more than 30 days?

Are you receiving ongoing mental health care and compliant taking prescribed meds?

no, not criminal. never convicted of a crime. see doc and take meds. i just get suicidal sometimes.

how would getting baker acted affect your ssdi?and why would you have to report that before a review?

i don't know if i should tell them or not. what if they find out?

It's medical treatment/hospitalization. Not that needing to be hospitalized short term would effect a beneficiary's benefits.

but you dont have to notify them when you are hospitalized only later to answer the question on either the short or long form review

i have mental disability. i was told involuntary commitment helps you. not sure if its just for application, i feel if i cost medicare too much they will cut me off
