That was by far one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had in my life.

hi whiteaa. i had eight stellate ganglion nerveblocks in my neck (one a week) when i was first diagnosed with rsd. they helped a little with outward swelling and pain but not alot. but everyone is different. the first one i got didn't really help much at all. my pm dr told me that it sometimes takes a few trys before i would feel results and i did. they just weren't really big results. but something is better then nothing and everyone is different. i'm not a dr and don't know for sure what a spinal injection is so if i were you i would talk to you dr about it. sending soft hugs your way.

Thanks RSD ME!

Yeah I'm gonna talk to the doc on Friday and see what she says. I also wanna ask her again about DMSO cause the first time I asked she just shook her head without saying anything and I felt shut down. I'm not leaving without a conversation this time!

I think it fair to try more than one block unless you have a bad reaction or just don't want to. Your doc may have a protocol for non-responders, like try 2-3 then stop. If you get nowhere with it then cap the risk. Also pay attention the next few days. It may be the lidocaine type drug doesn't do much for you but the steroid which is typically added does. Steroid does not reach full effect immediately.

Go for it on the DMSO, your doc may not be familiar with it. It is part of the Dutch protocol for use in the first six months. So you'll smell a little garlicky. I had a hard time finding a DMSO product at the right percentage. 70% is commonly sold but pretty strong on the skin and I think the recommendation is 50%. I found it on Amazon. People try a variety of mixers to dilute. I ended up liking aloe Vera gel for the purpose.

If you have a skin reaction pull back or don't use it. My skin maxed out at twice a day and got irritated after that.
