Full, pressurized, numb, swollen feeling?

My lower legs and arms have been having less sensations ( or at least lower intensity ) the tingling, twitching, pins and needles etc. but in its place they feel swollen, numb ( but they aren't numb), pressurized ( feels like they are under intense pressure, as of blood is pooling and building up , like it has nowhere to go).
Does this mean that all my nerves are dead and gone or almost gone? I feel like this means there is no hope for healing, if there is nothing left to heal. Does anybody else feel this?

Hi Cana,

Is this going on constantly or is there a pattern to it? For example, many people get some blood pooling after being horizontal all night or when the limbs are dependent. A pattern might give you an idea if there is a vascular component. For me, blood pooling leads to more nervy symptoms just from the increase in pressure. My PM did not find this surprising at all. If blood pooling is contributing then look at helping it through gentle exercise (which I seem to remember you do) and possibly light compression or just elevation periodically throughout the day.

Hi littlepaw,

I don't know if there is actually blood pooling it just feels like it. I don't see any outward signs

I feel numbness in my feet that sounds like what you are describing all the time too. It is hard to explain, because I still have sensation, yet a numb and heavy feeling. I don't have any pain, burning etc like others describe. I have no vascular issues. Had a nerve biopsy to rule that out, also some other test where they measure b/p and pulse in lower extremities.

I had the same feelings too, and we did an ultrasound to check on the pulse. Everything was fine. I was that way on and off for more than 3 years. I haven't felt it for almost 4 years. The only time I would worry is if my legs, feet would feel heavy, hard to lift. Otherwise, at least for me, it wasn't a doomsday sign.
