Why doesn't serratus strengthening work?

Can somebody please help me understand the anatomy of why my serratus wont hold my shoulder blade down? I have done serratus work non stop for a year now with 3 different therapists. All kinds of pushing pressing and wall slide variations that I thought would solve my shoulder blades and ultimately all of my nerve pain, but nothing worked.

What's happening here? My EMG, Nerve conduction/velocity, Neck MRI and cervical spine XRAY were all normal. So my winged scapula has to just be from weak serratus right? Why won't strengthening that muscle help it to do its job?

Thanks Jo Mar. This might be better suited for a PM or something but how is your TOS? Would you consider it managed at this point?

Yes , I'd consider my version of TOS much improved since 2003.
RSI based..rep assembly work..
Never went back to a full time job though. Well work comp had me try to go back , but I only lasted a few weeks before I was back into the burning muscle pain constantly..
Luckily dr rx'd me out fast before it got real bad..
I did go to PT for quite awhile and later on a really good chiro that was very helpful overall. (abt 6 yrs with chiro most of that time was once a month)

But no RX pain meds , sometimes Aleve or such and /or IF stim, infrared heating pad, foam roller stuff if needed.
Epsom magnesium lotion is great for those achy sore muscles if that is something you have..
Now I have more of a chronic myofascial pain syndrome, but I still can't hold my arms up or out for long due to the pulse stopping in them..

Good morning, just curious if workman's comp supported your TOS? I was denied.

Scapula and vitamin E and Selenium

Research vitamin e and selenium and flying scapula. Also those nutrients are implicated in white muscle disease in animals. Worth googling.
