Who can I go to in Canada?

I was just wondering if there are any people on here in Canada (specifically the Saskatchewan/Alberta/Manitoba area) who have been treated for TOS? All tbe doctors I go to are fixated on "shoulder impingement." The only TOS specific help I can get is from a physiotherapist. When I bring up to TOS to my surgeon (ortho) and pain management specialist they basically just chuckle and say im too young and its extremely rare, they aren't even open to trying a scalene block or botox, they want me to do a subacromial decompression and "see how I feel." But I know that its not my problem. Anybody know doctors in my area?

Past postings mentioning Canada can be found with our search tool- some might be years back -

You can try to narrow down the search to each of these Saskatchewan/Alberta/Manitoba.

Not sure if many for Canada are listed in our DRs & PTs sticky -

Okay if anyone out there is interested I've done some research.

The best doctor to see about thoracic outlet syndrome in SK, AB, or MB is doctor Sean Mcfadden, a cardiothoracic surgeon out of Calgary Alberta. I have not gone to him myself but his reviews are excellent and he is known to treat TOS frequently. I spoke with a patient of his and she had nothing but good things to say.

If you are in Toronto, try head of vascular surgery at St. Michael's Dr. Al-Omran.
He did my surgery where he removed my scalene muscles and first ribs.

A word of caution though: He has tunnel vision with respect to treating vascular TOS and will not treat you if you have just nTOS. I had both so he was willing to go in and do the standard nTOS procedure as well.

Top 2 Canadian surgeons are Sean McFadden and also Anthony Salvian..he's in Vancouver, I had my seroma drainage with him.

I went to a vascular surgeon in London Ontario who is from Mayo if you're interested. She routinely does the procedure.

Sean is an amazing surgeon and he is also an amazing person!! He did remove my first rib three years ago and I have nothing bad to say about him even if the surgery didn't work like I was hoping for. Don't call him Dr. McFadden because he doesn't like it, he really want us to call him by his first name, my mame is not Dr, it's Sean he is saying and after he tell you that it's pretty funny because he is asking if he can call us by our first name!! I wish everyone could have a surgeon like him!

Hello, was your procedure successful? I had both vascular and ntos as well. 1 year post-op and only vascular symptoms have subsided. I've had 3 Specialists tell me it's now permanent. A bummer to say the least.
