Sitting suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I wish I could spend more time on this forum but cannot sit for long at the computer due to intense sacro pain. After a short time, I have to go lie down. I got a new cushy chair but it doesn't seem to help much. I've tried pillows. I've tried standing but my knees & legs don't like that. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Linmarie

hello

Yep.. 1) Move that computer closer to your bed/couch and use the keyboard where you can.
2) get a lazyboy and put it on an angle or as close as you can then use keyboard on lap or tray.. recline helps me some.
3) get a laptop and use a pillow or tray.. but use board under laptop fans are underneith.

good luck,

Here's another thought...get a wireless keyboard and mouse. I use mine with my laptop, and hubby used his with the desktop. that way, I can get comfortable and still get online.

Hi Linmarie,

Just a couple of websites for you to look at. The blog, first link, has some pretty good tips all round for computer ergonomics and health:
http://lifehacker.com/software/ergonomics/
http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/ergon...ternative.html

all the best :)
