Symptoms besides pain/tingling

Do many people just have the burning tingling part? I have a bunch of other things going on--bladder problems, sweating problems, nausea, etc...and of course burning feet. But do most people get these other symptoms? Will these symptoms help identify the cause ? thanks.

I have all except nausea (actually I get cold instead but I think that's just part of the same thing.) So far I don't have a cause. I wish I could tell you differently. I'm going to a specialist next month and if I find out anything I'll let you know.

Thanks. I should get my biopsy results tomorrow. I'll feel much more confident in the diagnosis if it's positive and will definitely try to find out a cause...will also feel okay with seeing a rheumatologist to try to figure out why my hands hurt.

Small fiber neuropathy can affect the autonomic fibers and not just the sensory fibers. The autonomic nervous system innervates the internal organs, the sweat glands etc, so SFN can cause such symptoms.

Thanks. I wonder if it's the norm to have these other symptoms or if they are indicative of the cause ?

I get bladder problems. It takes me awhile to pee in the morning. Along with lots of other stuff but that one scares me.

I have interstitial cystitis which is an incurable bladder disease. I am on a very strict diet and it has helped.......but my SFN symptoms are horrible. I have muscles seizing in my hip groin and butt. Huge digestive and bowel issues and numbness in feet and calves. My left leg has gotten very wek....I have muscle wasting due to my inability to walk well......balance is off. I'm only 55 and it took a year and 3 neurologists to figure out I have a SFN!!! Oh, I shake a lot sometimes....not always but mainly at night. Sleeping is becoming a luxury.
