Tarlov surgery

Hello fellow suffers, i am new to group but not to tarlov, i have many questions but main one is when you had surgery what did surgeon do, did they remove the whole of the cysts, remove he main / bigger ones, did they cut them off are just tied them off or just seal with glue etc, when / if removed them basically what happened then, the hole where the cysts were and interested to hear what they did as to regards the sacrum

Thanks for reading and would love to hear your journeys

Hi, Michael,
I had surgery just under 2 weeks ago in Dallas. I had 4, bilateral cysts, 2 at at S3

Sorry! Still getting my motor skills back after being on so many meds.

So: I had 2 cysts at s3 and 2 cysts at s4. Dr. F drained and sealed 2 of them, and drained, sealed, and put a bovine compression sleeve on the other 2. He doesn't "remove" them because they are part of/inside the nerve. His goal is to block further CFS leakage and make sure the cysts don't refill. He also told me that he was going to put a sort of soluble sealant over any places where the sacrum was weakened or had holes (my MRI did show "bone remodeling"), but I haven't had my post-op yet so I'm not sure if he ended up needing to do that. Hope that helps!
