Dear Madisongrrl,

Thank you SO much for this article.
I was dx'ed with Lyme many yrs ago and have struggled with trying to manage the symptoms for yrs, neuropathy being one of the most difficult to treat.

Recently I was treated for breast cancer and oddly, many of my old LD symptoms flared up. My oncologists just think I am completely nuts. I called my Lyme Doc and he said that it is possible that cancer treatments stimulated my immune system and he believes the Lyme bacteria can become dormant(they are called "biofilms") until something causes their release. This theory of "persister cells" is exactly what he is talking
about. Now I have this article to show the oncologists so I sincerely appreciate.

My best,
Diandra

A few more interesting ones to add to the pile - neuropathy and lyme case studies.
