bumped my head on hanging ceiling lamp
Today i forgot that there was a lamp above me in the restaurant when i stand up i bumped my head into the hanging wooden ceiling lamp.. im having a headache and feeling drowsy
Is it a sub concussive impact or another comcussion? Its a lamp that weighs about 3-5 pounds Im still having pcs from previous concussions |
At most, it may be a sub-concussive impact. Do it 5 times a day for the next few months and it will likely be a problem. A single sub-concussive impact is not a reason for concern. The startle and temporary pain of the hit can cause anxiety that lasts for a few days.

I at times have issues with low-hanging lights, too. Tonight I was in one of the bathrooms of a family member's house where there are heavy vanity light fixtures hanging above the mirror. There was a cockroach high up near the ceiling, which startled me and I didn't have a broom or anything of reach to swat at it.
Lke an idiot, I climbed onto the sink countertop and when I was bringing my weight up to stand up on the countertop, in the moment I forgot about the vanity fixtures and bonked my head into one of them; it kind of felt like a brick. Hoping it is indeed just a subconcussive impact. The fixture is set in place and doesn't swing (stationary object); it was a heavy material that appears to be stainless steel or crystal. |
If you hit is hard enough to be a concussion, 60 to 80 Gs, you would have smashed it.
Think of dropping a 16 pound bowling ball on your foot. |
