Has anyone here found relief from PN???

I've been suffering horribly for 6 months or so. I've yet to find a post from someone about things that have cured or at least helped them. Please post if you have something good to share. I'm desperate. Thank you.

Hi elatarium

Welcome to NT. You'll find quite a few people here with PN - myself included. Take time to browse the forums for info - use the 'Search' tool to look for info on specific topics (need 10 characters in the search field).

From reading already you may know there are many different types of PN (over 100) with just as many causes. If you can identify the cause that may assist in the type of treatment and whether or not there may be relief. In many cases a cure is elusive but others do find some relief which can make the condition tolerable. As with any treatment what works for one person may aggravate another (and this seems to frequently happen with PN). I'd suggest proceed with care - only introduce one new treatment at a time and allow your body to adjust and try it long enough to evaluate (sometimes it may not appear to be effective but as soon as you stop your symptoms will increase.)

I'll add below a link to one of the original threads here on NT which has a lot of info. Please feel free to share details and ask any specific questions.
All the best for finding answers.

Hi elatarium,

What specific symptoms are you suffering from - and what has been done so far to find the cause?

As you may have read, the best way to treat PN is to find and fix the root cause of it. Of course, many times that cause can't be found. Or if it's found, there may not be a way to treat it anyway.

If you don't have a known cause, the best you can do is give your nerves the best possible environment to repair themselves. This may at least slow down the progression of the disease, and could even stop it or reverse it.

I pretty much say the same thing to everyone. It's about diet, exercise, stress reduction, and supplements. There's lots of information in this forum to get you started. Ask questions when you have them.

Unfortunately, there's very few "miracles" here. But it seems many, if not most people find some relief that allows them to live their life at least a little more comfortably.

I seem to be getting some serious relief via the protocol I'm using. I've posted on this in several threads and I have one on the boards today about this. (the one on stress)
