Bump to the back of the head.....

...last night I went down & grabbed a pot from one of my cabinets & when I got up I hit the back of my head with the drawer knob above me. It defintley did hurt, but didn't black out with no other symptoms except for a dull aching headache in that area. I did put ice on the area last night, along with taking some Tylenol. It's touch to feel for a bump, as I have a head of hair.

Is this anything serious & what can I do for the headache to go away? I do sit in front of a computer all day, so not sure if that'll help.

I don't think it is anything serious. It is just one of those hits that happen. Ice was good. You'll just have to wait it out. The skin and other layers of soft tissue on the outside of the skull can get bruised and be painful, especially if the nerves got bruised. Tylenol is about all you can do besides the ice.

My best to you.

Is it also common for your ears to hurt after a bump like this or your sinuses to act up?

I've never heard of ears hurting or sinus issues from a head bump. ?????
