Monarch butterflies descend on Cleveland Ohio:
Here is an interesting video...
. It has been published recently in Nat Geo Magazine and other science periodicals that Monarchs are down to 25% of what they were. This article about Cleveland Ohio brings some hope that they may be returning. |
Thanks for posting this Mrs.D. Had three in the yard this morning and was thrilled to see them.

Thanks mrsD.
The clip brought back happy memories. When I was a kid in NZ I grew swanplant, which the Monarchs approved of as a food source. It was fun watching them develop from caterpillars to pupae to adults :). |
thanks for the link Mrs. D. i love butterflies and that was really beautiful.

Thanks for that video. It reminded me of a day I was at the lake, years ago, laying in the sun with my eyes closed. When I felt a tickleing sensation on different parts of my body. I opened my eyes to see what it was and I was inside a mass of Monarchs. They were all over the sand and at the water's edge drinking. It was quite a sight. :winky: I just layed there motionless, they stayed for hours. They were still there when I left. The next day they had gone. :(
