Scar injections tomorrow
 

Hello all,

I hope we are all having a mostly good day. ;)

I wanted to reach out for prayers and healing vibes. Tomorrow I am driving 3 hours to Houston to my Physical Medicine ultrasound guided injection guru to see if we can safely shoot up my nine inches of surgical scars with any more steroid to reduce that mess. I still have a lot of it that I step on constantly and that drags by and crunches down nerves in my ankle. Ouch! I have made improvements every time we do this but it is risky and I can't lose anymore healthy tissue to atrophy. It is a tight, tricky area to inject. We'll see what he says. I am hoping, hoping, hoping to improve my remaining pain contributors aside from my nerve damage so that the ketamine has the best chance of long term gains.

Thanks everybody! I really appreciate this. I know our prayers and positive thoughts for each other make a difference.

I am turning in soon. I decided to go down a couple hours early and visit the Houston Natural History Museum before my afternoon appointment. They have what I believe to be the best mineral collection in the U.S. Ah, the treasures of geology. They have a visiting exhibit of 350 Faberge objects now too.

Hee, now I am kind of excited! I thought about it and went - heck, I get around well enough lately to do something down there besides get shots. I can make it a quick visit and sit when I need to. I'll love it and then if they don't think we can do any more injections I haven't totally wasted the day. We need to be having more fun whenever we can! :)

I really need to re-tool Houston. Three surgeries and more doctors appointments down there than I can count. I think we can get somewhat traumatized by a place if it only gets to have negative connotations. I used to go there for the museums. It's time to take it back!
