The wheels of justice turn slowly but they are a turning. I have talked to so many over years of the damage from these drugs -- muscle damage, joint damage and yes the nerve damage and probably more damage. These drugs contain fluorides.
I hope in my lifetime I will see all fluoride removed from our water, foods -- everything. My latest activist work is sending our city council an email weekly on this insane act of adding "F" to our public waters. I will send them this link in next week's email. I worked so hard for 3 yrs with our group to stop it from happening in 2008 but we lost our battle. But I still work at it. As do many other like minded people in this "fight". Thanks for this info. |
I bet we will see commercials for this one now!! Way too many people out there with PN from this drug!
They need to pull this drug, not just pay out all those suffering. |
A friend had to have a "minor" surgery she thought, but ended up with an infection. So she told me last week she was on Levaquin for this infection and I told her "NO"...she had no idea of the side effects of this quinolone class of abx drugs. She did her research and went to her doctor today and she's off Levaquin. So hopefully she's saved from this drug danger.
The doctor put her on another "strong" abx but not the class of this drug. Why is this drug still given knowing all the dangers. I found this link and it turns out magnesium is depleted with this drug. Good read: http://www.side-effects-site.com/lev...eractions.html |
Just got prescribed Levaquin for Pneumonia
I Just got prescribed Levaquin for Bacterial Pneumonia and am about to take my 3rd day of 750mg Tablet and after doing some searching and some slight knee and thumb joint pain saw this forum and am concerned.
Should I call the doctor and seek an alternative?? Thanks for advice. |
Yes, I would change if possible. Zithromax is a safe alternative as are the cephalosporins. It all depends on the organisms causing the pneumonia.
I had a pneumonia following shingles....and Zithromax worked well for it. |

This link shows alternatives to fluoroquinolones (Levaquin and Avelox).
http://www.webmd.com/lung/antibiotics-for-pneumonia There is also doxycycline. When I used Zithromax, I did 500mg a day for 3 days. Not the standard Z pak of 250mg a day. Also complete rest for a week, is very helpful. If you are really low in Omega-3 food intake, you may benefit from fish oil or krill oil supplements to enhance your lung membranes to become stronger and more resistant to infections. A good Vitamin D level also enhances immunity to infections. |
Waiting for new Prescription
Thank you SO much for your reply - I have a Stat message into my Doctor and will post what they finally prescribe.
I also appreciate the suggestions for the supplements. Mark |
