Hello!

Hello all my sweet friends,

I haven't been around in a while, and wanted to stop in and say hi. :) I hope you are doing well.

Things had started improving the other week, but I am back in another flare up due to stress/ heat and I am playing the whole pass out, fall onto floor, burn like mad, nausea/ vomiting and so on game... so I am not doing too well, though doing my best to try and cope through it, as I am very busy with school (I am doing it through the summer as I have extra because of my RSD causing me to take too many days off), am about to take online school classes, my family is going through a lot, and I am trying to keep up with friends and family.

I saw the rheumatologist, and I have still not come to a firm conclusion as to what is going on. As far as if I do or don't really have RSD. It's not been fun trying to get doctors to listen to me! But that is the way it often goes, much to my dismay. There isn't much to say, other than I think that doctors need to learn to listen to their patients! :Bang-Head:

I am scheduled to get an EMG of both UEs and LEs. I am having tons of blood work done... I am no longer getting the nerve blocks as the other PM Dr at my PM doctor's practice has said he doesn't agree with my diagnosis, and the block only lasted 2 hours, so he wasn't going to do that again.

Grr... I wish I knew that it wasn't RSD, but I have this bad feeling that it IS!:( :( I wish the doctors could tell me beyond a shadow of a doubt that it wasn't... :Hum:

I see the neuro in July- and the rheumatologist agreed- he is the one who can give me some answer about the nerve pain, the symptoms and my movement problems. I hope so!! :icon_confused:

Hugs and love to all! :grouphug:

IHH, it is great to hear from you! Thanks for checking in and keeping us updated. :cool2:

I am sorry things aren't going more smoothly for you and your family right now, here's wishing you better luck. You sure have your plate full, you might need to snag a few spoons from your family members, lol. I am outta spoons right now, sorry. Maybe next week?

Thank goodness July is next month! You really need a Neuro to tell these other dr.s what to think and do. I'll pray that your Neuro is a kind and gentle highly intelligent person who gets your dx right the first try.

Hi Sweetiepie!!

What a lovely surprise, I'm just darting in quickly, I'll be back later. I know just what you mean about the docs, I've had examinations by the rheumatologist myself recently (for rheumatoid arthritis) and every time I explained the different "pain types" he just looked cross, as if to say "Yes, well, that's nerves, so not my problem"....but I won't complain too much, he was actually helpful. So lots of blood tests for me too..

OK! It's my dinner time, nothing on TV till later (CSI, the Grissom one)...I just need to go sink into my cane chaise long - once a beautiful piece of furniture, now a giant Dog Basket, lol! I did try to resist, but the dogs hypnotised me over the years..be back later,

It's *so* good to hear from you, I was wondering...and hoping things were getting sorted. Why does everything take so long...??
  atb!

Rheumatologist mentioned sjogren's syndrome, but the reason was because: I get a really bad dry mouth (which I *know* got really bad after starting lyrica and the darvocet more regularly), I get abdominal pain, I get out of breath (well, that is also from meds), and I feel that he didn't take into account all of my medications and the type of pain I am having!! Grr... it's not joint pain, it's NERVE PAIN)... so anyways, next time I see him (in early July) I am going to MAKE him listen to me! He was surprised that I had swelling...

So... I am NOT completely happy with this doctor... I was at first and then I thought long and hard on what he said/ did at the appointment, and I came to the conclusion that he has made a mistake...

we'll see how it turns out when I see him next!

Speaking of dogs, is that your pup in your avatar? I am planning on putting my dog back in my avatar (like you mentioned in the photo thread).

Here is me and him:

I'll try Sweetie!!

Thanks! I think Sam is quite adorable myself, but he needs brush up training... his behavior went sour when my RSD got real bad and I couldn't practice with him daily. He is the sweetest thing though and LOVES children (such a good thing with 10 siblings!).

Soft hugs being sent your way!

Inhishand :( sorry hugs to you. I do want to say I do have RSD and TOS. I have problems with the sun also I loved the sun always got a great tan but now it is my enamy :( it burns the living heck on my affected skin even being a passenger in a car and the sun shining on my arm is bad! OUCH! and I also pass out have talked to my doc about it too, I will see if it gets better but I believe it is a combo of blood pressure at times being way to high and passing out, at times my body just shutting down so it can heal, and at times my meds :( all play into it so I will have a jouirnal for it to find out.
Oh my mouth is dry also like a desert I figure my meds are doing it YUCK! I hope you get some relief...
