ptosis?
 

Since I have gotten older/heavier the mirror is no longer my best friend and the selfie trend I have avoided.
I have tested positive for ACHr antibodies and have a myriad of symptoms but I have not begun saying I have MG. I reserved this as I thought I had no signs of ocular issues. Even though I can't see with or with out my glasses and I often get double vision while watching TV. I also spent April thru August with a frontal lobe head pressure they decided to call a migrain.
Anyway, while spending some face time in the mirror shaving off my mustache and beard, I noticed my eye was odd. Nobody has mentioned it before other than to say I have squinty eyes. I think from viewing online pictures of ptosis that I may have some lazitude in my right eye.
Am I allowed to post a photo and have ya'll give me an opinion?

I would say it is very possible, however since I haven't seen you before, It is hard to be sure.

I just received a reminder call from my appointment to the neuro-opthamologist that they made for me back in July. I had forgotten all about that. It is for Wednesday, the 30th.
How coincidental?

The migrains really mess with my short term memory.


I'm excited now!

I thought it was one of those thing you could just tell. I am without injury or allergy so I thought some one in the know of such conditions would be able to have a confident yay or nay.

You are seeing the right Dr. A neuro-opto gave me my first DX even after my MG bloodwork was neg.

Ptosis is a very common sign of MG, affecting about 65% of people with it; https://medicine.yale.edu/neurology/...scular/mg.aspx.

I hope that your meeting with the neuro-ophthalmologist goes well :).

So, I went to my eye Dr. appt. He was a young Dr. in his late 20's, plastic surgery was his specialty.
He wondered aloud as to why they sent me to him and not Dr. Marvin. My alert went up also.
They had me do a field vision test where I press a button every time I see a light flash in a box. Checked the pressure on my lenses and looked at the nevers in my eye. He said all was good. I asked him bout my right eye and he said it looked like sagging skin hanging down and said he could fix that with a little nip-tuck.
I told him I had done the ice cube test the night before and my lid corrected it's self (which it remarkable did, my wife was impressed). He said that was not a very good test at all and if I had ptosis normally the lid is draped over the entire eyeball. He then proceeded to lift the drooping skin and said "We can certainly correct that by cutting" I stopped him there and told him I was fine with the way I looked.
Needless to say, I think I went to the wrong Dr.

Is the ice cube test a legitimate test for ptosis or will it work on anybody to help tighten the skin on the eye?

I can compare one eye to the other and the left seems to have enough muscle tone to keep the skin taunt vs the other eye is loosing the gravity battle.
