Lycria
Hi I've been on 75mgs Lycra for 1 week. I had nerve block yesterday after a botched Sacrioialic joint fusion, where they had put the implant in too far and they had screwed directly into my sciatic nerve root. THe nerve block has worked and surgery will follow in a month. I don't need to take Lycra any more thank goodness. How do I withdraw from taking it this short time

Hi Devonian,
All I can say really is OUCH. :o That botched fusion must have been terrible. Regarding the Lyrica, you could ask on Chronic Pain Forum or even Medications Forum take care there. |
I've read and heard from so many with negative back surgeries. That's why I live with this nasty degenerative back and I'm 77. Do all I can to keep moving. Lots have changed since probably 65 or so and then the messed hip replacement at 72. Sorry to hear this.
I take many joint supplements, wear back, knee and foot supports and all this is worse since hip job. Stretch and ride recumbent bike in living room....I was very very active all my life into my early 60's...then BAM. C |

I'm glad that you're going to be able to stop using Lyrica. The drug should be tapered off, slowly, under medical supervision.
As you've only been on it a short while, perhaps you haven't developed a dependency. Notwithstanding, wean yourself off with caution. |
