Eye Drops Could Clear up Cataracts Using Newly Identified Chemical - might help pd

"If you look at an electron micrograph at the protein aggregates that cause cataracts, you'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart from those that cause Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or Huntington's diseases," Gestwicki said. "By studying cataracts we've been able to benchmark our technologies and to show by proof-of-concept that these technologies could also be used in nervous system diseases, to lead us all the way from the first idea to a drug we can test in clinical trials."

This is amazing.

Over the past 3 weeks, I found the same information. How strange is that?

I recently paid a visit to a VA Eye doctor, While I was there, she discovered that I have an incurable, degenerative eye disease called Rear Optic Nerve Drusen. OH JOY. Of course, before I left, I just had to know what a drusen is. Actually, I would have been closer to correct if I had said, "What are drusen?" She began to tell me everything she knew about this strange eye disease that will eventually cause AMD(Macular Degeneration). She continued as I paid attention. It seemed that I had heard some of this somewhere else, but where.

She eventually came to a stopping point and called for a consult with another doctor to make sure she was correct in her assessment. He confirmed her diagnosis. It was then that the two of them whispered something about a study but eventually agreed that Parkinson's disese would eliminate me from the study.

I went home with lots of information, a ridiculous looking pair of sun glasses, 3 bottles of eye drops and an appointment in January. But wait, there's more...for only $39.95 we will double your eye disease...JUST KIDDDING. When I got home I googled optic nerve drusen, and you won't believe what I found. Drusens are particles of alpha synuclien protein that accumulate on the back of the optic nerve.
they interfere with mitochondrial processes exactly the same way that lewy bodies do. they are a response to the same substances that control lewy bodies. they interfere [with ATP production the same way that Lewy bodies do.
IN E SSENCE THEY ARE LEWY BODIES
the biggest difference is that you can watch drusens a t work whereas lewy bodies have to be observed after a person has died
well, the good thing is that there are certain nutrients that seem to neutralize drusens
so I am thinking that the same nutrient combo could possibly neutralize lewy bodies as well
