delusional thoughts post concussion???

Hey ive been dealing with pcs for about 5 months now.and for the most part my spacey/dizzy and all that isnt really bothering me when it does its only been for a daybor 2 this month I still feel off and not myself.my surroundings also feel off and kind of weird to. but what concerns me is I have been having some really weird thoughts.Ive had thoughts of being violent with my family out of nowere n I just blew those thoughts off.But now I had a thought of my family hurting me wich is completely irrational.N aboutba week ago I had a thought that my girlfriend and my Mother were halucinations while inwas talkin to them...And that thought stuck with me for about a week.Today I had a crazy thoight that I have actually been knocked out since my injury n my entire journey through this is just a dream...When I think things like this I almost beleive them.It just seems so real for some reason.I was just wondering if anyone else has had weird thoughts like that or anything. Thanks in advance.I will be scheduling a apointment with a psychiatrist who has experience in brain injurys tomorrow.but would just like to have a little peace of mind.

KC,

Did you fall to the ground when you tackled your friend ? Could you have injured your neck ? It can cause some of your symptoms. Your posts leave me confused. Have you used any drugs ?

The many imagings you have had eliminate any serious damage. It is rare for a concussion to show on any imaging.

From what you have posted, it does not sound to me like you have suffered a concussion. As I said, more likely a neck injury.

How is your sleep each night ? Are you continuing to drink ?

I did hit the ground.right after.I never passed out though.N havnt done drugs in years. The only drugs ive done is shrooms.n that was 3 years ago.I was smoking marijuana but havnt smoked since this happend because it makes my spaciness worse.

No I havnt drank since my injury.n I sleep pretty well for the most part.I have trouble falling asleep occasionally though.n my neck dosnt really ever hurt.

I do have a bur ing sensation in my head alot.I do get headaches.but they move around alot.in the begining I had a constant headache all day everyday.n then it turned to just alot of pressure in my head.n now its not to bad of a head ache it just moves alot.N it takes me a while to adjust if I go to different rooms in my house or if I get in a car to ride somewere it takes me a while for it to really sink in im in a car.Ill know were im out and were im going and what im doing it jist dosnt really sink in for a little while sometimes.N I cant drive because when I do I feel spacey and or dizzy or almost drunk.Thats the best way for me to describe it.

If it helps I was binge drinking for about 4/5 days got the initial hit to my friend.kept drinking because I thought nothing of it.Went to sleep later that day.the only thing I noticed that was different was a bad hot flash but that was it.Then the next morning I hit my temple and still took a few shots because again I thought nothing of it.sorry to reply so much. But what im feeling is very troubling.N I just want answers.so I figured id give you as mu h information as I could thanks again.

Hey Ghostwatts,
While not to that degree, I have had similar sensations...weird thoughts out of nowhere, a dizzy and spacey feeling. Also like the surroundings are totally off. I think you are not alone in this as I had posted a similar post earlier and got answers saying people experienced the same.
Do these things worsen with over exertion/anxiety? My symptoms definitely seem to worsen with anxiety. It is a real terror but it goes away.

Id definetly say so.Yesterday I was walking around my apartment complex to try n get some exercise and blood flow. And thats when the being knocked out thought came in.And today I wake up n im still thinking on it.So its like when I have these thoughts I cant get rid of them for a while. As long as I dont think on it im fine but of coarse they continuously pop in my head over n over.I even try n tell myself rational reasoning to tell myself thats just a thought but my body or mind still trys to beleive it.

Oh then my take is that it's totally anxiety. My initial TBI was in August, and like you, I sought out a lot of help from this Forum which has honestly been a blessing (Sometimes a curse when I read too much and worry myself).

What would happen to me is people wouldn't seem real, the environment would just seem off - couldn't completely put my finger on it, but definitely off. Another member on here, qtipsq, suggested an excellent video:

I personally found relief in it because she is this wildly successful woman, experiencing the same daunting **** as me! It was nice to see that she overcame it and gave me a little...tiny...smidge of light at the end of the tunnel. Honestly, your biggest battle going through this will be against yourself. I strongly believe it's anxiety worsening the symptoms for you.

What has helped you in the past deal with stress inducing situations? Seriously.. this might be a little cheesy, but...Do you like to write? Meditate?

As far as going for a walk around the block, my suggestion is try to be with someone. It is a helpful distraction to keep you from focusing on feeling so off, plus it will give you encouragement to get out of the house.
