I take 600 mgs every night an hour or 2 before going to bed. I used to need 1200 mgs for a few years then was able to reduce to 900 and finally 600 mgs. It allows my mind to let go and my body to relax. It does not sedate me at all. It just lets me choose to fall asleep. It is well tolerated by most. Very few have a problem. It appears their problems are evident right away.

Almost: what were your issues or symptoms that made you discontinue the gabapentin? thanks.

Tremors in legs and hands. Saying that, I have tremors in my hands usually, was significantly worsened and new in my legs. The medication was changed after just 4 or 5 weeks.
