Cranial Electrical Stimulation (Electro-Acuscope)?

Has anyone tried it or know anything about it? My doctor wants me to try it. He says it puts the brain into a deep relaxation state by changing brain waves.

There is lots of info online. The manufacturer says it is for muscle work/pain and does not mention other neurological uses. http://microcurrentinstruments.com/acuscope.php

It is basically a TENS unit.
