Tooth extraction with nitrous?

I have to have a wisdom tooth pulled, and since I have bad reactions to most meds, the oral surgeon is suggesting novocaine and nitrous oxide, as I also have ptsd from a massive car accident, and laying in a dentist's chair with people working over me causes flashbacks to EMTs and ambulance and emergency room and hospital.

I am not yet diagnosed with MG as doctors in my area are, I shall nicely say less than adequate for such a problem. First blood test is negative, and they won't run MUSK without a positive on the first test, first. Nor will they risk any kind of diagnosis without a lab paper proving it first.

I have eye issues (ophthalmologist is certain it's MG), arm weakness, and get short of breath over nothing at all. Also have to work hard at breathing when laying flat, so I sleep in a recliner.

The breathing part is what concerns me, does nitrous oxide play into that at all?

Keep in mind and need to educate them that many mg patients are seronegative. That makes this much harder.

Sorry no experience with dental work yet. I will be watching this to see how you do though.

There is no educating them. They know what they know and have no interest in knowing anything further. They get timed on their patient throughput, take to long, get in trouble. Damned corporation owns local hospital and one on either side of it in nearby towns, and almost all doctors and practices in the area as well now.

When I end up being taken by ambulance to ER because I'm not breathing or have collapsed and don't have strength to stand up, that's when they might, might, pay attention.

So, I'm on my own with managing and protecting myself.
