Recovery thread

It would be really really useful to have a thread in this forum where people who recovered can come back and tell their story.

There is a lot of emphasis on PCS being a permanent state on this forum. Yet I have heard stories of full recoveries, but most of the time from a third person.

Acceptance is very important. But I think seeing inspiring stories of near full recovery would also go a long way in helping to cope with the emotional stress.

I am not sure if those who recover come back to the site, but as with many forums dedicated to illnesses, that typically have a recovery thread, some good Samaritans come back and tell their story.

Can we please have a sticky recovery thread? I am talking about people who reached a level where they are not constrained in their activity in any noticeable way.

Many thanks

PS: if you have links to such recoveries, either from blogs or other forum posts please share.

I agree. Hearing of the ones that make full or close to full recovery would be very helpful. This site tends to be on the negative side, not that it is anyone's fault. But the talk about PCS being permanent can scare a lot of the new people - I know it scared me a lot when I first came on this site.

So this would be a real positive. I know I will do it when I fully recover :)

There are numerous such posts in the Hope and Healing sticky at the top. Seth recently posted about his improvement. A main forum thread would get buried quickly so the sticky at the top works.
