Gottingen university hospital neurology..Any information about it!?
Hi folks
I am welling to do some diagnosis at gottingen university hospital neurology in Germany for MG... Please let me know if you have any previous experiance with this hospital. If you can advice with another hospital or lab that will be great. Thanks in advance |
Bebo, I don't have any experience with that particular hospital.
But I would simply warn you that even with good access to good hospitals, diagnosis of MG CAN, take a long time. If you are lucky the blood tests for Achr antibodies will be positive. If not you will need to check for antibodies for Musk and LEMS. It can be that all of these are negative. You will also need then EMG and SFEMG tests. Even if these are still inconclusive, you may still have MG. It has taken me 2 years, still with symptoms, still responding to Mestinon, still no diagnosis. I hope that you are luckier, as I understand that you are travelling a long way, but just be prepared that it might take time. |
Where do you live, Bebo? There are MG experts in France and the UK. There are some in India, too, but that would be an arduous journey (not as "simple" as a plane ride and taxi).
Are you even stable enough to fly somewhere? Annie |
