Root Canal Infection

I had a root canal done after an accident, which broke half of my tooth. When I got it checked after a year because I wanted a new cap, the X-rays revealed that I had developed an infection. So i got a new root canal done this November an I have a zirconium cap. Lately, my teeth have gotten sensitive and I can sometimes feel the blood being pumped in that tooth after running or when my heart beats really fast due to cardio. Nowadays, blood oozes out sometimes from the gum of the treated tooth. Do you think I might have an infection again? Will it be okay if I dont get it treated because I feel no pain? If yes, what treatment should I get done?

p.s. I am from India.

Hi, I can't reply to the poll as I just don't KNOW...I have no definites. I deal with a close to 10 yr issue from a molar with a broken filling which is next to a bridge that is over a RC...over these years a dentist wanted to remove everything. I have ended up with 2 courses of amoxicillian which calmed everything down and now use home remedies for my issue. I don't recommend this for others but this is what I use. I have read tons of info on oil of oregano and knew about it years ago but never used it. It's used for many infections. There is a post about it on the vits/nutrients/herbs here and I've added my comments to it. I'm doing all I can for myself as I don't want more trauma to my body and then there is the expense of it all.

Welcome to the forum and hope you get answers that satisfy you. I know also that use of grape seed ex for over 20 yrs has kept my oral health in general -- good.

I'll add this.. my neighbor who has 4 areas in her mouth that has pain and has crowns. She says these crowns are NOT over RC's...she has one RC and has no pain from it. I don't know how old it is but I think pretty old. She says a "good" dentist did it. This same neighbor has and still does drink fluoridated water as she can't afford to buy clean water. Our city fluoridated in 2009 after NEVER adding "F" to our water except the naturally occurring that comes from rocks from the dams etc.

I have a RC that is probably about 40 yrs old and it never gave me problems. Guess it was a good dentist...the one I have issues with is maybe 10 yrs old..different dentist.

Hey caroline! Thankyou for replying. Unfortunately, we do not get grapeseed extract in India. And I have got the rc done from a different doctor the second time, but the infection still develops after sometime. I feel like I'll let it be and let my body heal it naturally.
