Good grief does it c EVER end?

So I now have a skin infection in my face and the ENTIRE right side is swollen and I can't see.....already went to er last night but this is SEVERELY flaring the pain in my legs and arms!!

Sounds terrible. Did they give you anything to help the infection? I hope it works quickly and you are better soon.~mac

:(

So sorry to hear you are suffering. Hope they were able to give you something to help. If it's still bad or worse...go back to your doctor or er to get it looked at again.

That sounds miserable! I am so sorry you are going through this. There is something extra awful about having to deal with anything on your face. I hope they gave you something that helps and it clears soon.

Just FYI - when I got in a bind over a skin thing it took a dermatologist to figure it out. Go sooner than later if things don't clear....

Sending hugs and healing thoughts,

Getting there

So it took another trip to the doctor because the antibiotics the hospital gave me weren't working, and the entire right side of my face was extremely swollen, red, shiny, and reeeally painful. Thankfully, unlike the hospital, the doctor realized how severe it was and found the right antibiotics. Between those and naproxin and some pecocet I feel SO much better. My face is half the size it was yesterday!!!
Unfortunately, my crps is so flared from this I can barely walk......I'm going to try and deal with it over the weekend to see if it gets any better. If it doesn't, I'll make an appointing with my Neurologist.
Thank you all for your caring words and support!!

Songbird,

It is unbelievable that as soon as you get a grip on one thing something else acts up. I am going mad with dry, oozing, crusty eyes. (If the castor oil doesn't knock this down by Monday I am going to beg for help) Sometimes it just seems everything is conspiring against you!

Bio, I did not know that you were still having issues with your eye. I'm sorry to hear that it still has not cleared up. It's been what, 2 months plus if I remember correctly. Did they determine if it was related at all to the CRPS, or is it something else?

Purple,

This started up again a few days ago. The last time Castor Oil took care of it in a few days, so fortunately I haven't had long term suffering from it, but boy is it ever a bear when it hits. I thought it might be aggravated by makeup so I tossed everything, this time I haven't been near so much as a lipstick so it may be CRPS related or a symptom of an underlying auto-immune disorder. I should not complain, because I think serial misery is easier to handle than a being hammered by a continual barrage of ailments.
