DBS and correct amount of sinemet

I have had STN DBS in April after being diagnosed with PD 10 years earlier.
I now seem to need 5 carbidopa levodopa 25/100 capsules daily instead of the 3 I needed till now. Does this seem like too much?

How can I tell wearing off for sure? What are the symptoms of taking too many sinemet pills?

This seems like a good question for your neurologist.

I was told that there was a survey done and on average post surgery there is a 50 % reduction in levodopa. This usually explains why DBS helps those patients who have diskinesia related to levodopa use.
