Newbie

Hi folks it is the new guy. I am suffering from burning feet, hands and a red face that the docs can't explain. I have had one of my adrenal glands removed and no improvement. Waiting on more tests and I came across this site.
I hope to learn and share what is happening with myself.:)

Hello maax101,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I'm no Doc, but please run a search for past posts on the forums here with the keyword - erythromelalgia - and see if it rings any bells. There are posts also with the spelling - erythromyalgia-. I'm not sure if those words are interchangable or if the last one is an error, but there are posts for both spellings.

Meanwhile, even if it's not PN you're dealing with, you could post over on the

Peripheral Neuropathy Forum

I'm sure the members there will offer support and information to help you while you wait for your test results to come back.

May I ask why one of your adrenal glands was removed?

Hello and Welcome Maax,

Erythromelalgia came to mind to me too. Some vasomotor issues manifest with burning hands/ears, etc. You might also consider histamine intolerance, food intolerance or allergy. Overproduction of mast cells and histamine can cause bright red flushing of face, hands and feet as well as some GI symptoms. These can be early signs of anaphylaxis so allergy is an important consideration.

Pay attention to any triggers such as alcohol, foods, heat or exercise and let your doctor know about them. They may shed some light on your symptoms if you can narrow any down.

I hope you find relief and healing soon,

The adrenal gland was removed because it tested positive for a pheao.
