Please help me understand my MRI
Multilevel degenerative disc desiccation. This is most notable at c4/5 there is a broad-based posterior disc herniation causing moderate central canal stenosis and bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. C5/C6 broad-based posterior disc herniation causes moderate central canal stenosis and bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. C6/C7 broad-based posterior disc bulge or herniation causes mild central canal stenosis and left greater than right neural foraminal stenosis... I really need help understanding this so that i know where to go from here, i have severe and continuous pain in my neck. It feels like it weighs 100 pounds and can not get rid of headaches.

Did your dr make a referral to see a neursurgeon or any kind of follow up?
I have neuro forminal stenosis bilaterally at c3c4 that is severe and c4c5 that is severe left and moderate right. I have mild at c5c6. I saw a neurosurgeon who didn't seem to think that I had anything serious to do anything about. My gp was not happy with his report because I too have pain and awful headaches and shoulder and arm weakness and pain. She is sending me for a second opinion? I hope you have a follow up with someone who can answer your questions about it. It is my understanding from reading only that severe is not good and something needs done but I don't know. I truly understand all the pain you are in and it is not fun. Please let us know what happens. Nana Netta |
Thank you for responding, i have been going to an advanced pain medicine place. They have done 2 Epidural Steroid Injection's done and i have had zero relief from it. The Dr. seems to think that i should have at least some relief but i really have not... I just dont know what to do now.
