I just received a horrible long email to my private email,
from FB... it was full of swearing and inappropriate innuendos from some guy who said we chatted recently. he was soliciting me to call him at a given 817 phone #. I have my FB at full privacy too. Same friends as on my hubby's page which I used to use. So I don't know what the thing that came to me was linked to. I use my internet email which gets next to zero spam all these years. It remains a mystery and I hope it doesn't happen again! |
20$ of the 187 million $ cancer rip off was mine. They hounded me for years after that and still call occasionally.
I got an email from some guy who said he saw my FB profile and liked how I looked. My page is private too and my profile picture at that time was a horse. |

I hope they can help. |
no, I didn't. I do report the Ebay and PayPal spoofs though.
I will confess that FB frightens and confuses me. It is so huge, and complicated. I am definitely a candidate for a Facebook for Dummies manual! :o |
You can click the lock icon in the top bar of FB and it brings up many of the privacy settings. I double check mine twice a year.
I just go down the line in each section and do it one by one - most have drop downs with options. If you have the name of that person you can block him by adding his name in the "How do I stop someone from bothering me" section. The little arrow drop down next to the lock icon has a help section that explains things. |
