hello all new here
i'm new here and would like to say thank you for having me. i am also awful at computer stuff so forgive the flubs. i've had cervical rib removal both sides with subclavian entrapment, nerve damage, lung disected on right from all this. i'm doing great even though many problems still exist i keep looking for info to help me through the healing. diagnosed as True Neurogenic TOS with Arterial Entrapment and Cervical Ribs. Doc says I don't exist in any medical books I'm a new chapter so all the Docs and myself are looking for ways to improve healing.

Hiya, Spare Rib! :Wave-Hello:
Welcome to NeuroTalk! Here's a link to the TOS forum, it's pretty active so you will hopefully find some useful information there: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24 Look around all you want, if you need anything, just let us know. Again, welcome! P.S. Love the name!:D |
:welcome_sign:
As a fellow TOSer I love the name and we are very happy to have you here :D . And as a fellow TOSer all I have to say is WOW!! If I may ask where did you have your surgery done? It sounds like one for the books. Come on over and visit us in the TOS forum. I will also have your post copied over there as well. |
hi spare rib
Shelley asked me to copy your post over to the TOS forum here, which I have done here is the link to it there so you can monitor for replies http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ad.php?t=23344 |
...or Two or Three, or Maybe Four Spare Ribs, All Told (Right?)
hello spare rib and welcome - so glad you've found us! the TOS forum is probably kind of quiet today because it's the weekend; hopefully that will give you a chance to peek around though, and familiarize yourself with the lay of the land...:D
once in, check out the stickys at the uppermost portion of your screen, lots of info for you to check out there. also, if you enter a buzz word in the search bar (upper righthand corner) you can pull up older threads on almost any TOS-related topic you can think of, and if you find a particular poster whose train of thought follows your own - or who amuses you:wink: , scares you:eek:, or perish the thought! seems like they know whereof they speak! (not shelley, haha), then use the 'advanced search' aspect by entering the poster's name and voila ma petite! more than you ever wanted to know about what that fool thinks they know re thoracic whatlet? syndrome shall be yours for the taking... i'm a case of true neurogenic TOS myself. i believe dr. filler out here in los angeles did a fellowship with your surgeon; we have a few of filler's patients on the forum. (i traveled to denver, myself, and had dr. annest do mine.) it is a very small world, isn't it, though, when you're talking about the small percentage of TOS'ers who do end up needing the surgery. and we all have our favorites. and not so favorites. but you will soon find that out for yourself, of course, at least as it regards the forum here at neurotalk. but bottom line, we ALL know that surgery is only a small part of the healing process from this TOS mess, anyhow, right? 'tenny rate, spare rib - we welcome you with sore arms! i'm sure your experience with the monster will be invaluable to us, and i hope that you will gain some insight and knowledge from the forum and the gaggle of humans hanging around over there. we're all in this together and the support is awesome. we even let shelley in sometimes.:Security: but only if she brings virtual chocolate and has been behaving extra good that week. it must be cleared though me first, though. just so ya know, spare rib! these are the rules and they are VERY strictly enforced! (i'm totally kidding and i just made that up. no idea why; just a mean person i guess. i like to pick on shelley bella for some mysterious reason. it's fun and i have to take those endorphins where i can find them, you know!) looking forward to getting to know you, and i wish you...:Good-Luck: alison |
LOL spare rib...beware of Alison. Dont let her scare you off the TOS forum, we are a good ole bunch....
Its true though she does like to pick on me but I usually just give her a  and :p . Come to think of it....everyone likes to pick on me...so just join in :D |
Hi Spare Rib and welcome. You'll find great support here. I'm glad you found us.
