Cervical spinal cord stimulator w laminectomy -now horrible spasms

I'm brand new to this site -so please forgive if I do something in error. I had a cervical SCS w laminectomy done about 3.5 weeks ago. About 1 week post op I started w horrible neck/shoulder spasms -they seem unrelenting ! I have found so little info on this and just hoping maybe someone has heard or been through similar ( not that I wish this in anyone!). Thank you in advance -I have found this recovery to be miserable!! Well -one day at a time I guess . Thanks

Welcome, muscle spasms are nothing to be enjoyed, the pain is relentless and severe. I went into spasm after my last fusion in 2013. It took a long time to settle and they eventually put me in hospital on strict bed rest with pain relief every 4 hours for 5 days. I don't recall how much after that it relented, but it did. Wishing you relief soon.

I've ended up with more spasms from hip replacement surgery Drama....and I Make SURE I'm getting plenty of magnesium and keep tabs on potassium as both are vital and helpful for spasms. Surgery or no surgery.
