surgical extraction sinus cavity

Hello.

I dont know if i can tell my story correctly cause my ability of thinking has been effect by the condition.

6 months ago . I went to oral surgeon to extract some root attached to the sinus . The surgery was good tell before it finished .i passed out on the dentist chair. I woke up shaky . Dizzy . Wiered . Scared .The surgeon said every if fine . We removed the root and the sinus preofrated . You should not sneez for 14 days or do strong physical activity and prescribed augumentain .

Since then . I started became tired dizzy . Nausea . i couldnt concentrare . Shaky .weak . Fatoque . Anxiety .When i drink coffe and reach the hole i almost passed out and become agitated .

When the food stuck in the hole i became more tired . I felt yhe air is going from nose to hole . Like squeezing.

I went back to tge surgeon . I told him im not feeling well . I feel im infected . He said . the site is healing well. No signs of infection . I tokd him i cant function im very dizzy and bauseated . Adviced me to see general doctor .

I got two days off job . When i wrnt i was fine till i finished the antibiotech . The next morning i ate my breakfast . Then i got like convulsion in my head .i couldnt talk well or stand up or act well .tge job sent me to ER . Where i saw ENT and many doctors . Didnt found any thin wrong.

I coildnt work so i took two weeks vacation . I saw different oral surgeons and ENT doctors . Mad CT .MRI. Xray scans .found infections in the sinuses

They said you r sinus is preforated and its small and it will heal . Just take antibiotech but they said it shouldnt make you fatique and sick like that . I said ok . I took tgem . then he saud it healed . Wgich it didnt . I

I became more ill waiting it to heal. It didnt . They said you shoukd psycgatrist . I told yhem im not crazy . I jusr cant get up . I feel the air is going from my nose reaching to the ear and gum hole.

I quit my job cause of illness.

I saw nerulogy doctor . And made ecg and brain mri . He didnt fiund a thing . He just put me on antidepressant and antipsychotic .

I took them . Even i was not happy . My faimly kept pusgibg me as im nut .after two months . Nothin changed I quit yhem since three montgs and went again to the same conditiin .

The gum hole looks smaller now .but when i breath i feel the air reaching to my ear . Constabtly dizzy . Naysea . Lack of appetite . Concentration sick alk the time . Waiting for my death .. I made alk blood tests .nothin wrong .

Idk if theres a food in the hole that healed over it . The sinus still preforated . I feel it. But doctors doesnt know.

I dont have pain . But i feek im going to explode and infected my be in sinus . Jaw . Idk .antibiotech help in this . But unfortunatly im allergic to most of them .

Im smoker since 20 years .

Hi morte,

Thank you for explaining everything. I know you are not feeling well and I will try to help you. I am not here to judge you, just offer you important and helpful information. I hope you are open minded to the information that I am offering you here because you are going to have to make some changes and become your own advocate (take the bull by the horns) in order to get well.

A couple of things come to mind:

1- Do you only go to the dentist when you have a toothache?

2- Do you have other infected teeth and/or gum disease?

3- Please...... Stop smoking today. Smoking causes a severe lack of oxygen and red blood cells which can PREVENT or delay the healing of any dental surgery. Smoking can also PREVENT the sinus infection from clearing and it can also PREVENT the sinus perforation from closing. Not to mention.... tobacco contains over 4000 TOXIC chemicals many of which are known to be carcinogenic (cause cancer).

4- I do not believe that you are making up your symptoms, I believe they are VERY REAL. Your physical symptoms as you have described them could be correlated with a more widespread systemic (body) infection. This means that the tooth infection and possibly other infected teeth or gums, and/or the sinus infection has spread into your digestive system and/or your blood stream. When this happens, the intestinal (gut) microbiome (bacteria) becomes toxic and it has the capability to affect various systems of the body. It is not uncommon for someone to have a systemic infection and have memory issues and other neurological symptoms. IMPORTANT to know... these infections are not always picked up on routine blood work or body scans until they have become very severe.

5- I think you are being tossed from one dr to another because of 2 reasons:

1) You smoke which makes you a high risk patient for any form of treatment. It is not uncommon for doctors to just want to medicate people who smoke because they know that the patient's health is already compromised and if the patient is not willing to stop smoking then the dr knows irrelevant of what they do, the patient's health is not likely to improve due to the smoking. The bottom line is... it's hard to treat someone effectively when they are bringing harm to themselves (smoking) which prohibits any healing. I hope I have explained that okay. Any chance you will stop smoking??

2) You need to have a full mouth series of radio graphs to determine the health of your teeth and gums. If you have periodontal disease, which is a very progressive bacterial infection, or you have other infected teeth that need to be extracted.... your oral health, sinus health and systemic (whole body) health is in jeopardy until those problems are resolved. These infections, along with the smoking, can prevent healing of any oral surgery... prevent the sinus perforation from closing... and can cause you to become very ill.

Let me know your thoughts on what I have shared with you here.

I wrote big repky then i lost it and now posted it again .

Thank you . For taking the time to think of my condition . I di agree with you about these critical questions and i mighthave a gum disease .

I dont go to dentist except for emeregencies .i have two dead teeth need extraction and three needs fillings . My gum is kinda white and weak . I think its infected . Is the hole give tge gim infectiobs or the gum make the hole infected .?

Which heal first . Gum hole or sinus ?whats the possibilites and ways for normal healing .?

I know smoking is very bad . But im living with unbearable anxiety . And quit smoking make it more . ? May be nicotine patcg help .

Hi morte,

Glad to hear that you are open to the information and thanks again for sharing more of your history.

I am going to re post some of your thread and reply to you in bold type. This can make it easier for all of us to follow.

<<Thank you . For taking the time to think of my condition . I di agree with you about these critical questions and i mighthave a gum disease. I dont go to dentist except for emeregencies .>>

SO YOU LIKELY HAVE GUM DISEASE. WHICH IS CALLED PERIODONTAL DISEASE AND AS I STATED IT IS A PROGRESSIVE SYSTEMIC (WHOLE BODY) BACTERIAL INFECTION. I HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER GETTING THIS PROPERLY DIAGNOSED AND TREATED IF NECESSARY.

<<i have two dead teeth need extraction and three needs fillings .>>

DID YOU HAVE A FULL SERIES OF DENTAL XRAYS? THAT IS 18-20 SMALL XRAYS. DEAD TEETH AND DECAYED TEETH ARE ALL BACTERIAL PROBLEMS AND THEY WILL PREVENT OR DELAY HEALING AFTER AN EXTRACTION. SAME AS THE PERIODONTAL DISEASE.

<< My gum is kinda white and weak . I think its infected . Is the hole give tge im infectiobs or the gum make the hole infected>>

IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE.
THE WHITE CAN BE PLAQUE, BLANCHED GUM, DEAD TISSUE AND/OR INFECTION. THE HOLE FROM THE EXTRACTED TOOTH IS AN OPENING INTO THE JAW BONE AND IN YOUR CASE THERE IS ALSO AN OPENING INTO THE SINUS. SO THE "HOLE" IS DEEP AND THERE COULD BE SEVERAL REASONS WHY YOU MAY STILL HAVE AN INFECTION. ALSO THERE IS SOME QUESTION ABOUT THE ROOTS OF THE TOOTH NOT BEING REMOVED AT THE TIME THE TOOTH WAS EXTRACTED. RETAINED ROOT TIPS WILL KEEP THE INFECTION BREWING. THE DENTIST SHOULD HAVE REMOVED THEM WHEN HE EXTRACTED THE TOOTH.

<<Which heal first . Gum hole or sinus ?whats the possibilites and ways for normal healing .?>>

-FIRST ALL OF THE TOOTH INCLUDING THE ROOTS HAS TO BE REMOVED.
-SECOND THE DENTIST HAS TO SCRAPE THE OPEN SOCKET INSIDE THE BONE UNTIL IT IS CLEAN AND CLEAR OF ANY TOOTH REMNANTS, LIGAMENT AND ANY OTHER DISEASED TISSUE AND BONE.
-THIRD THE DENTIST HAD TO CLEAN OUT A PORTION OF THE SINUS AT THE SAME TIME AS THE EXTRACTION OF THE TOOTH IF HE THOUGHT THERE WAS A PERFORATION.

STAGES OF HEALTHY POST OPERATIVE HEALING IN SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE PERIODONTAL DISEASE, DOES NOT SMOKE AND HAS HAD A THOROUGH EXTRACTION OF THE TOOTH, ETC:
-GUM TISSUE CLOSES AS THE OPEN SOCKET STARTS TO FILL IN WITH NEW GROWTH OF TISSUE AND BONE.
-THE GUM TISSUE CLOSES COMPLETELY BEFORE THE BONE IS COMPLETELY HEALED.
-THE JAW BONE TAKES A YEAR TO FILL IN COMPLETELY. IN THE MEAN TIME THE GUM CLOSES.
- THE SINUS PERFORATION CLOSES AS THE REST OF THE HEALING IS GOING ON.

<<I know smoking is very bad . But im living with unbearable anxiety . And quit smoking make it more . ? May be nicotine patcg he okay>>

SMOKING ACTUALLY MAKES ANXIETY WORSE AS IT DECREASES THE OXYGEN AND DILATES THE BLOOD VESSELS REDUCING THE BLOOD FLOW TO THE BRAIN, HEART AND OTHER ORGANS. TOBACCO IS ALSO A STIMULANT WHICH HEIGHTENS ANXIETY. PERHAPS YOU CAN SPEAK TO YOUR PHYSICIAN ABOUT QUITTING SMOKING?

<<*Also im so dehaydrated since many years>>
THE CHEMICALS IN TOBACCO AND SMOKING CAUSE DEHYDRATION. NO AMOUNT OF WATER WILL HELP PREVENT THIS AS LONG AS YOU SMOKE.

Bryanna

Thank you bryanna . Your vry helpful .

The strange thing is i never felt pain in surgical area . Never even in surgery . The surgery was to remove a root . Not a tooth . And in the scans it showed sonething remainig after the surgery . Different doctor said may be root may be bone fragment

I dont think i should open the surgery site again . Its been 6 month and i think some healing happened . The location of the root is left side before the wisdom teeth . The wisdom teeth has some infection and swollen around it but not in surgical site . The tooth before the surgical site has been root canaled 3 years ago and now its broken dead and infected . May be causing problem ?i started to think i should remove it though i became scared of going to dentist as i might get something worse in upper area .

Is it possible to prevebt healing . I dont think so . It may delay the healing but not prevent though i feel i didnt heal .

Also i drank alcohol for 10 years and quit last year . I took benzo also for 6 months .is this history may affect the condition .

Thank you alot.

Also i should add something important . When i take antibiotech i feel more better . But im allergic to most of them .

Also what about wisdom teeth . will they causing problems in general . Also i forget to mention tge tinnuites on the left side where is tge surgical are

morte 03-11-2016 07:13 PM

Also . The jaw bone should heal . What if we are living in 1000 years ago . What domeone will do for this condition .

Also i had dry socket tgat time . How it should heal now . One day i went to dentist after two months from the surgery he clean the site with spray then it started bleeding but i felt better . Does this mean when he spraid it started buildin blood clot . Or wgat

Im dorry for alot of questions . But i was just strong before this happened . And now i turned to sick and dizzy .nauseated person . Who always needed help

How does the healing happened after getting dry socket .? I mean tgers no blood clot in tgeres a hole . How tge gum heal in my case . Will it heal from the bone to gum or vise versa or will shtink . Cause its a deep hole ?

What if the dentist stimulate the bleeding so that help healing

morte 03-11-2016 10:14 PM

Im not on pain kellers . I dont take any thing now . Tge spelling errors cause im typing from the phone

Also i noticed that my teeth on surfery side is dislocated . The first and tge last teeth not on same line

morte 03-12-2016 03:53 PM

If i made implant in tge area . Will this fix the problem

morte 03-12-2016 07:11 PM

I swear its adry socket that last for 6 months . And not treated cayde of the stupid doctors font know how to treat it . I think they should stimulate bleeding to be treated . Whats the real treatment for dry socket . All of my searches say it woll eventually heal . When how .. Stoll not healing .

Im sorry . I dont mean a thing im just nervous about the proffesinals i saw who didnt help . Thats why i came here hopefully i can catch something to help . Proffesunals have ni clue for whats goin in . They said im nut .they actually dont know a way to treate dry socket .

And also im crying every day since 6 months . Really im crying . Wishing my self dead .
